Dogs filled my life from the beginning.  When I was a youngster and I didn’t have my own dog  I was walking with my neighbors’ one. During vacation time I was taking care of those living in the village. Finally my dream came true and my parents decided to buy me a dog. As a young woman I’d started my own family where dog had it’s important place. All my children were grown amongst dogs. I could think about my own kennel after we’ve changed a block of flats to a house.

Kennel Bargest was registered in 1988 and it’s first, founding dog was South Russian Shepherd Dog called OKA Nortonia. OKA gave birth to many beautiful puppies, which popularized and improved this lovely breed amongst Polish and international breeders.

I thought that South Russian Sheperd Dogs will stay with me forever. I was in love with their temper and it’s beautiful body. But after 11 yrs of work with this breed I had to stop due to my problems with the back. Obviously I couldn’t stop breeding !!! J

I always preferred long coated dogs and that’s why I’ve started to breed Shih Tzu and Yorkshire Terrier.  I stopped breeding Shi Tzu earlier and not so long ago I had my last Yorkshire litter. 4th generation of my very first Yorkshire litter still leaves with me.  My Yorkshires had always been judged as excellent and often placed @ awarded grades.

My journey with Griffons started in 2001, when my longtime friend , Ilona Kupickova of Corsairey Casch delivered me my first girl called GRIOTTE (called Figa).  Figa is the founder of Griffon Kennel Bargest line. Figa’s babies XAWIER & WHISKY, and theirs’ next generations , brought me a lot of joy and satisfaction. Griffons from my Kennel are successful  in the rings of many countries.

Puppies from Bargest Kennel are bought up in friendly and loving atmosphere. They have contact with my family, friends and what is very important – grandchildren. After they are placed in their new homes , I always try to stay in touch with their new families. They can also ask me for help or advice anytime.

Nowadays we pay a lot of attention to adults and puppies health. We use every occasion available to check health and condition to all dogs active in breeding. It is very important to improve whole Griffon breed through the process of selection and elimination of doubtful mating. In comparison to other, more popular breeds, Griffon are still one of the healthiest breeds and we must do everything possible to keep or even improve situation!

We encourage all breeders to collaborate in order to save our lovely Griffon breed as healthy as possible !
